XCMG CRANES DISPLAY THEIR STUNTS ALONG THE PERSIAN GULF
Release Date: November 07, 2017

Doha, Qatar – October 30th, 2017 - At the mention of Doha, the most impressive frames of oil fields, luxury cars, dazzling skyscrapers and the upcoming 2022 World Cup will, for sure, flash across your mind immediately. This tiny country off the Southwestern shore of the Persian Gulf has long been known across the world for its amazingly vast oil & gas reserves.

With the booming development of oil industry after the Second World War, Qatar has continuously grown and flourished, emerging quickly as the brightest star in the night sky over the Middle East. Following the establishment of the diplomatic ties between Qatar and China in 1988, the bilateral relationships and economic cooperation have ever expanded and deepened in a steady manner. Legions after legions of Chinese enterprises rush into this piece of Promising Land, injecting fresh impetus to its infrastructure construction, energy resource exploitation and further development of various industries.

In order to make successful preparation for the upcoming 2022 World Cup, it is reported that the Qatar government will invest as much as USD 60 billion for related infrastructure construction projects, including the US 20 billion-plus National Highway Network Expansion Program.

The 43 km-long, two-way four-lane Dukhan Expressway running from the East End of the Sand Ismail to the Doha Industrial Zone, once completed, will be an expressway of the highest grade in the countr and among the most important thoroughfares to the World Cup Stadium.

Construction on its Doha section, in the vicinity of the main World Cup stadium, has recently been going ahead in full swing. In the expansive bridge building zone just over there, a long parade of golden XCMG cranes stretches far away for several kilometers, just like a golden dragon lying on the desert.

According to the project contractor, on the construction site of the Doha Section alone, there are as many as 25 XCMG cranes working day and night here, accounting for more than 90% of the total. During the upcoming construction phase, which will involve several key huge bridges, much more XCMG cranes are expected to be employed.

With a tropical desert climate, Qatar has no distinctive seasons. It is dry and scorching all the year, with the temperature even being, sometimes, as high as 45 Celsius degrees. So, such extremely harsh working conditions pose a serious challenge to the operating performance of cranes.

“It is a typical tropical desert climate in Qatar. We have been working in the Middle East for many years, and have tried on various global brands of hoisting machinery, but for all we have experienced in person, it seems that XCMG’s equipment stands out, being most safe and efficient among the all. Their high performances defy any treacherous climate conditions. As a result, over the recent years, XCMG has been among our preferred choices for new purchases”, commented a project leader on the sprawling construction site.

As its grand strategy of venturing overseas has made progress, XCMG has slowly and steadily stepped into the limelight on the world stage, and has won wide-spread trust among its customers. Being committed to its gold standard of serving its users with Leading Technologies & Everlasting Products, XCMG cranes have taken the lead in entering the global club of high-end construction machinery. Nowadays, XCMG is ubiquitous on various construction sites all over the world, and will play an increasingly important role in key construction projects.
