On July 19, the public welfare project “Global Excellent Operator”, launched the second training session at Xuzhou Construction Machinery Group (XCMG). Li Ge, Deputy Party Secretary of XCMG; Xu Xiaohui, Assistant to General Manager of XCGM; Yang Li, Party Secretary of XCGM Earth Moving Machinery Business Unit; Jiang Nan, Party Secretary of XCGM Export & Import Co. Ltd.; Feng Yuehong, President of XCMG Xuzhou Construction Machinery Technician College; 8 trainee representatives, and 12 foreign trainees from 9 countries as well as 30 Chinese trainees attended the opening ceremony.

Li Ge, Deputy Party Secretary of XCMG, speaking at the opening ceremony, said that the public welfare project – “Global Excellent Operator” – is one of the precision welfare projects launched by XCMG in 2016. With the first driving simulation training base for construction machinery operators built in China, each year XCMG trains 200 operators globally for free with an aim of preparing highly skilled talents for manufacturing servitization and post-market strategy, as well as lay a foundation for optimizing XCMG’s modular testing, repairing and service training systems. She extended her warm welcome to trainees from around the world, hoping they can study diligently, master the true skills, increase their value-add service capabilities and witness as well as communicate XCMG’s mission of “Making the World Better”.

The second “Global Excellent Operator” training session will provide 42 trainees with a unique training program for overseas service engineers and loader operators based on the deep understanding of the trainees’ individual needs for skill training. Throughout the 30-day training period, besides teaching methods such as cultural induction, 3-D experience, simulated operation and skill PK that would be introduced during the course, experts from different companies were engaged to interact and share experience with trainees. They helped the trainees master the skills more comprehensively, increase their professional quality, better understand and integrate with XCMG as well as experience its corporate culture and loving spirit.

Unlike the first session, this training class was composed of 30 Chinese trainees from 9 domestic organizations plus 12 foreign students of different skin colors from 9 countries including Algeria, Zimbabwe, South Africa, Sudan, Kenya, Uganda, Russia, Kazakhstan and Nepal.

In addition, by understanding different cultural backgrounds and eating habits of each of the 12 foreign trainees who came from afar, XCMG will provide considerate catering and security services for them. Special cultural events such as visiting the Han cultural attractions of Xuzhou and outdoor expand training will be organized in order to help them better experience the Xuzhou culture and local customs as well as ensure their happy study and stay in Xuzhou.

“What we need, XCMG has done for us; what we did not expect, XCMG has also done for us!” said Mr. Sarrag, a trainee representative from Sudan during the Opening Ceremony of the Second Training Session of the Public Welfare Project for “Global Excellent Operator”. In the future, XCMG Technical School will further understand and identify training demands of individual trainees, improve the training system and quality, all in a bid to provide safe, considerate and better value-add services. The trainers will interact more with the trainees, improve teaching by solving problems, share experience and provide personalized guidance, as well as optimize the training program. 

Since the “Global Excellent Operator” project was launched, XCMG has domestically trained 689 operators for various construction machinery products. Likewise, in other countries, 54 XCMG dealers are working with local occupational schools to train 132 overseas service engineers to improve their operating skills. By building a global service echelon comprising of “dealership service providers – XCMG service experts – service managers”, XCMG hopes to train more talent for the construction machinery industry. This can in turn allow global clients and users to use the equipment more efficiently, intelligently and conveniently, as well as meet the various needs for comprehensive solutions.

Having learned about the precision public welfare projects launched globally by XCMG in recent years, Isaac Mutisya Muisyo from Kenya couldn’t help but say, “I’m honored to participate in the ‘Global Excellent Operator’ project. However, I didn’t know that XCMG is helping build water cellars in Africa, sending love and care to left-over children in Sichuan and donating school buses for the poor students in Brazil – all these have enabled me see the commitment of XCMG in fulfilling its social responsibility; I feel great respect for this company. I will take this opportunity to study hard and improve myself to become an inheritor of the XCMG public welfare cause by playing my part in it. ”
